Twelve years ago in 2005, my husband and I relocated our family to a small town southeast of Seattle - Enumclaw, WA. We bought a well-loved craftsman home from only the second family to live in it since it was built in 1920.  Our children, then in grade school, grew up here in this beautiful community and are now full-fledged adults.  The property is a double city lot including a small structure, we call "the little house" out back which was the original home on the property built in 1910.  It has always been a dream of ours to remodel it into a guest house. Our daughter and her boyfriend want to buy a home of their own in our crazy Pacific Northwest real estate market, so we have decided now is the perfect time to create a little house out back for them to live in while they save for that dream.
